Guide CABAL Online - How To Change Monster and Pet model

previously i apologize if this topic is stale and no longer attractive..i just wanted to share something interesting about Cabal..

all already know how to change weapon models..then arises the question..it means the skin monsters/pet can also be changed..because there are monsters folder..

Discalimer : This Cabal guides working in Cabal Indonesia..but i think it also works on other Cabal..

monster skin can indeed be changed..BUT..to change the monster/pet skin is not in directory :
CABAL Online\Data\FX\EFX\Monster
to change the skin of the monster/pet directory is located at :
CABAL Online\Data\Monster formatted : .ebm

first..create a backup file in order to secure your files and anticipation of the original file in case of crash..
find the directory where you put the Cabal folder..
then go to Cabal Online\Data\Monster..and then find the file you want to change the monster..
eg rabithorn..its file name rhorn-s.ebm
copy of the file in the same place with the aim to make the backup file..

if you wanto change it into Cerberus..find it at :
CABAL Online\Data\Mpnter\pl2
copy and paste it to Cabal Online\Data\Monster

delete the original file of rhorn-s.ebm (make sure you have copied before)..
rename the file pl2_cerberos.ebm into rhorn-s.ebm

to activate the skin..you do not need to restart the game..you just go to warp zone..then returned to the map.. the skin will immediately change..

for pet..the file name starts with pet_
pet with the last name _t that is level 10 pet..
for monster pet that has not been level 10..the file must be changed is the monster file of those pet..

was not just Weapon, Pet and Monsters that can be edited..there are many things you can change here..

CABAL Force Archer Skill dan Build

Unlike Warriors, Bladers, and Wizards, the three remaining types of Authentic Six–Force Archer, Force Shielder, and Force Blader—did not originate from the Sage Tower. They were independently established and developed for hundreds of years since Nevareth Exodus by so called “Force Handlers”. However, as time passed by, the term “Force Handlers came to indicate all of the 6 Authentic Skills.

“Force Archers” originated from a Wizard group. They realized the potential of long-range magic spells, and studied how to intensify the particularity of the magic spells. The founders of Force Archer skills were greatly intrigued by distance and speed rather than space and power. They established the intensive long-range force attack skills for Force Archers, and created “Crystal”, an advanced version of Wizard’s “Orb”, which specializes in controlling force more than intensifying it. This great invention has resulted in creating another invention, “Astral Bow” that minimizes the risk of power decrease when using long-range force and improves force control and attack speed at the same time. Later, it served as a momentum for “Astral Weapon”, the embodied force.

Controlling Crystal requires at least a little bit of physical strength and agility. Force Archers do not move around much compared to other classes due to their unique battle style, and they wear armor such as “Battle Suit Set” from the Pastur continent which possesses better defense than light clothes armor. Well-experienced Force Archers can do fast long-range force attack, and if they master in force control, they can deliver a fatal blow to an enemy at a far distance with one shot.

Recommended Item
Armor: Battle Set
Weapon: Crystal

Recommended Distribution of Abilities
Crystal: STR 2, INT 6, DEX 4
This is the maximum STR and Dex stats that you should have:
STR: 113
Dex: 227
The rest you put on Int.
Skill Build:
Novice: Get Power Shot and Fire Arrow to 9. Combo with Power Shot, Magic Arrow and Fire Arrow until u get Power Shot and Fire Arrow to 9, where u can combo with just 2 skills. Get regeneration as well. Upgrade Skill: Vitality Mastery. Get Dash from sword skills as well, but u can decide whether u do this early on or u wait till u got a certain magic rank. If will suggest to get to level 40+ to wear adept stuff so u don’t waste too much time exping sword.
Apprentice: Get Repulsive Armor and max it to 20 ASAP, its your first final buff. Get Critical Shot and drop Power Shot. Combo with 3 skills until u get Critical Shot to 9 where u can combo with Critical Shot and Fire Arrow. If u plan to not combo much, u can get Precision to 20. Upgrade Skill: Reflex.
Regular: Get Explosion Shot, Fire Lance and Terra Lance and make them 9. Drop Magic Arrow and Fire Arrow. U can combo with Critical Shot(9) and Explosion Shot(9), or make them 12 and combo with 3 skills (use Fire/Terra Lance plus the other 2). Don’t get Eagle Eye until u hit level 140 (Rank 15). Its a final buff but it cant stack with Vital Force (HP buff) so its better to leave it til u can stack both. U can also get Blind to 20 if u plan to do bosses. Upgrade Skill: Drop Reflex and get Defensive Sense.
Expert: Get Stone Cannon to 9 and Lower Defense. Lower Defense is a debuff great for PvP but u can get it to 9 if u don’t have spare points. Eventually max it to 20. Lower Defense is also great for luring mobs cause it makes them agro. Some ppl like Poison Arrow cause it has Damage Over Time, but its kind of slow so its up to u. Upgrade Skill: Force Control.
A. Expert: This is where the fun starts. Get Shadow Shot, Mana Condense and Vital Force. Mana Condense and Vital Force are final buffs so u need them at 20. Drop Explosion Shot and replace it with Shadow Shot level 9 if u combo with 2 skills or level 12 if u combo with 3 skills. Get Sharpness to 20 if u plan to play more support. At lvl140, Sharpness stacks with Warrior and Bladers attack skills
.
Master: Get Great Heal to 20. Don’t get Vital Bless until u hit 140. Its a final buff but it cant stack with Vital Force (HP buff). Don’t get Resist Intention until u hit 140 cause it cant stack with other more important buffs, besides its a PvP only skill. Upgrade Skill: Reflex or leave it blank til G.Master skills so u can buy 2 G.Master upgrades instead.
A. Master: Get Thrusting Arrow to 20.
G.Master: Get Gravity Distortion and make it 9. Get Art of Healing to 20. Upgrade Skill: U got many choices here. U can get Damage Absorb if mobs are hitting u too hard, Ruling Force if u need a damage boost, Sixth Sense if your Defense Rate is too low. I would go for Damage Absorb to make it safer. Later on u can buy them all but since u only have 5 upgrade slots, u need to choose just 1. If u left your Master slot free and got 2 free slots, u can get Damage Absorb plus Sixth Sense for safer PvE.
Completer: Get Shooting Star to 9 or 12 depending on your combo. Get Mass Heal to 20
Transcender: Get Art of Sniping to 20. Upgrade Skill: The last u didn’t pick, I will go for Sixth Sense. U can also leave the slot free so u can buy Change Force skill to start skilling up sword with magic skills. Up to u.
Now the skill line-up.
This is the skills and skill levels that you should have (if you’re Transcender you should have enough points left)
(Magic)Buff:
Repulsive Armor lvl20
Eagle Eye lvl20 (only by lvl140+)
Mana Condense lvl20
Vital Force lvl20
Greater Heal lvl20
Mass Heal lvl20
Art of Healing lvl20
Art of Sniping lvl20
Thrusting Arrow lvl20
Resist Intention lvlX (only by lvl140+ and every level only adds duration is not worth having it at 20)
Vital Bless lvl9 (only by lvl140+)
Precision lvl20 (if u dont combo and u just spam skills)
Sharpness lvl20 (if u wanna play more support)
Lower Defense lvl20
Blind lvl20 (if u wanna help with bosses)
(Magic)Attack:
Critical Shot lvl20
Stone Cannon lvl18-20
Shadow Shot lvl20
Gravity Distortion lvl9
Shooting Star lvl9
Lightning Cannon lvl20 (if u do the stunlock combo)
Fire/Terra Lance lvl18-20 (if u use them)
Poison Arrow lvl18-20 (if u do the stunlock combo)
Note:
It’s up to you if u want to get Drill Shot. There are others who says that it’s not good only for show.
(Sword):
Fade Step – lvl 9 (very useful because it helps you avoid being combo in pvp)
Dash – lvl 9
Upgrade Skills:
When you reach Transcender you will have 6 upgrade slots. These are the upgrades you should buy and max:
Vitality Mastery (a must have for any char – adds alot of HP)
Force Control (another very good upgrade – adds alot of magic=more dmg)
Force Rolling (same as above but better ^^)
Damage Absorb (good upgrade skill – adds alot of defense)
Sixth Sense (a usefull skill in PVE – adds alot of def rate)
And for the final skill you should pick either:
Reflex (if you like PVE more than PVP)
Defensive Sense (if you like PVP more than PVE)
Combos:
For PVP:
Obviously you start combo straight away and use these skills to attack:
Shadow Shot first (knockdown at start=good chance to win)
Critical Shot second (does allot of damage over a short period of time)
Gravity Distortion third (adds good damage with chance to stun)
Posion Arrow last (again, adds good damage and gives poison damage over time)
After you used these 4 skills repeat all of them again.
Now for PVE:
Gravity Distortion first (stuns for long time)
Poison Arrow second (good damage and gives poison damage over time)
Drilled Shot third (good damage)
Prismatic Arrow fourth (good damage again)
Use these 4 skills on monsters and if you combo vs a melee mob it will be very hard for him to reach you ^^
(You can also use the PVP combo in PVE, for example if you’re killing a boss.)
PvE Combo: Gravity Distortion(9) + Lightning Cannon(20) + Poison Arrow(20) + Shadow Shot(20) + Stone Cannon(20) (99% stunlock combo but breaks if G.Master has no room to cast)
PvE Combo2: Gravity Distortion(9) + Shooting Star (9 or 12) + Critical Shot (20) + Shadow Shot(20) + Lightining Cannon(20) (Stuns and doesnt break when G.Master has no room, but u get hit once)
PvP Combo: Grativy Distortion(9) + Critical Shot(20) + Shadow Shot(20) + Poison Arrow(20)

i think it's not bad build concept ^^

All About Amp and your Total Damage

This post will talk about 3 major topics.

1 = Calculation of "total power" for any attack skills
2 = Comparison between (M)ATK and (M)AMP, their significance
3 = How to estimate the damage done to your opponents (mobs and especially other players)!!

(brief) DISCLAIMER :here I assume all these calculations also work in other Cabals.

------------------------------------------------------

1. Total power of an attack skill

This is not very important,
because you don't need to really calculate it everytime.
But I still need to talk about it ~
as this will be the prerequisite for topics 2 and 3 !!

Now let's get to the point ~

Have you ever noticed,
whenever you launch an attack,
there will be a bracketed number next to your (M)ATK value ??

For example you will see:

ATK 924(2377)
MATK 472

or

ATK 924
MATK 472(1048)

This bracketed number is the "total power" of that attack ~
at least this is what I called.

To calculate this is easy,
here is the formula:

Power = ATK x (Skill.AMP + Other.AMP) + Extra.ATK

Other.AMP is something like AMP you get from your gear/equipment, and/or AMP from buff skills such as Blader's +25% Sword-AMP.

For example,
my ATK=924 MATK=472
my Sword AMP from my gear is totally 18% ( = 0.18 )
Blade Cry Lv.19 ( AMPx1.80 ATK+548.2 )

then my power for Blade Cry is
power = 924 x (1.80 + 0.18) + 548.2
power = 2377.72

We have to truncate (cut off numbers after the decimal point)
(that means to round it down but NOT up)

that's why the bracketed number (2377).

Same goes for my Earth Canon Lv.20 ( AMPx1.95 ATK+128.3 )

Power = 472 x 1.95 + 128.3
power = 1048.7

Notice that the Total AMP here is 1.95 only
but NOT 1.95 + 0.18
since my 18% AMP is Sword AMP,
while Earth Canon is a Magic Skill ~

One thing to note,
even if you are a blader/wizard and you activated your AMP+25% buff, the bracketed number will not change
my Blade Cry will still be 2377
but it's power will actually be
Power = 924 x (1.80 + 0.18 + 0.25) + 548.2
power = 2608.72

It is just that the bracketed number will not take the effect for AMP boost from buffs
but that doesn't mean the 25% AMP has no effect ~!!

==========================================================

2. ATK vs AMP

Which one is better?
It is very obvious.

when filling in either ATK or AMP in 1 slot,
we are talking about ATK+4 or AMP+5%
If you craft a gear,
it may be ATK+8 to ATK+16 or AMP+3% to AMP+7%

I believe most of us know
AMP is more significant than ATK

let's compare them, by maths !!

To stress the importance of AMP,
(also which is the reason why AMP gears are much more expensive ...)
and to make things fair,
we will compare AMP+10% and ATK+10

Consider my Wizard
MATK=728
MAMP=3% (from Epaulet of Sage +6)
G.M.Skill Lv.9 ( AMPx1.70 MATK+626.00 )

Normally:
Power = 728 x (1.70 + 0.03) + 626
Power = 1885.44

If we add 10% (Magic)AMP:
Power = 728 x (1.70 + 0.03 + 0.10) + 626
Power = 1958.24

If we add 10 MATK:
Power = (728 + 10) x (1.70 + 0.03) + 626
Power = 1902.74

Surely 1958 is greater than 1902 by 56,
so for the same percentage of ATK amd AMP
AMP is preferable

However, as you may have noticed
Your basic (M)ATK is multiplied by the AMP
so, for each percent (=1%) of AMP,
the higher your (M)ATK, the more significant your AMP is ~~
so AMP+1% is more worthy for Warriors/Bladers
but less worthy for Force Shielder ~

==========================================================

3. How to calculate damage done?

Let me say something first
you don't need to calculate this everytime
and, to be honest, you don't need to calculate these at all.
To know if an attack skill deals much damage,
just do it and see,
just feel it, and that is enough.

But here, I am presenting a quite-accurate way to estimate the damage done for any skills to any opponents,
is partly for fun and partly because I think someone here may be interested in it ~

Here is the SIMPLIFIED formula:
(I don't want to make it too complicated to understand)
(The "full-version" will be introduced at the end of this post)

DMG = (Power - DEF) / 4

This is an oversimplified one,
and it actually does NOT work for the following:
- Blade Scud [Blader, Grand Master]
- Lightning Slash [Blader, Completer]
- Whirlwind [Warrior, Grand Master]
- Infernal Impact [Force Blader, Grand Master]
- Assassinate [Force Blader, Completer]
- Shooting Star [Force Archer, Completer]

Despite that, the core concept is included,
the most important thing is the "divided-by-4" thing.
If you hit a player, the divided-by-4 is needed.
If you are hitting a mob, just throw away the divided-by-4.

Recall my own Blade Cry,
whose power is 2377,
if my opponent has 753 DEF
then...

DMG = (2377 - 750) / 4
DMG = 1627 / 4
DMG = 406.75

Note that,
if you are fighting a mob,
your damage done will be 1627
If you are fighting a player (e.g. in PvP)
your damage will be 406 (rounded down).
And these values are, of course, done by non-critical hits!!

So what happends to those skills such as Lightning Slash ??
It is no big deal =P

If hitting a mob, using the above listed skills:
DMG = (Power - DEF) x 2

If hitting a player, using the above listed skills:
DMG = (Power - DEF) x 1.25 / 4

Take me as an example again:
ATK=924 AMP=18%
Lightning Slash Lv.9 ( AMPx1.70 ATK+799.50 )

Power = 924 x (1.70 X 0.18) + 799.50
Power = 2536.62

~ PvE ~
DMG = (2536 - 750) x 2
DMG = 3572

~ PvP ~
DMG = (2536 - 750) x 1.25 / 4
DMG = 558.125

That's the case ~~

OK, here is the complete formula...

DMG for PvE = Power - DEF + Add.DMG
result x2 for skills listed above

DMG for PvP = (Power - DEF + Add.DMG) / 4 x (1 - Min.DMG)
result x1.25 for skills listed above

That explains why Bladers Art of Fierceness (DMG+400)
only have the effect of DMG+100 in PvP

and I would like to explain that Min.DMG thing
The full name is Minimal Damage +??
and it seems to mean to increase the lowest possible DMG of any of your skills by the amount of "??"...

For example, if my Blade Cry does a damage from 402 to 410
Min.DMG +1 will alter the range to "403 to 410"

BUT I am not sure about this because
IN CABAL INDONESIA the translation is somethat like
"Reduce Damage received (ion percentage)"
to which I interpret it as,
if I have 10% Min.DMG,
then an originally 100-HP Damage attack
will do a 90-HP damage to me
because of the 10% Min.DMG (only 90% left)

That's why in my equation,
I have the x (1 - Min.DMG in percentage) thing..
